Prayer: Heavenly Father, Give me wisdom to know the balance in discipline, for righteous correction rebukes evil, and no correction results in rebellion. Those that are old and mature in Christ can see how God lovingly chastises us to bring us closer to Him and for his to learn His holiness. He does not chastise us with sickness though as that would be against His loving covenant with us. In Jesus’ name I pray.

Inspiration: Today’s society is influencing a lot of children to have little respect for authority or their parents. Subliminal TV shows portray children’s rebellion as funny, so children do not respect their teachers at school and even see the police (who protect them) as their enemy. However, I am happy to see that some Christians teach the right balance between discipline and love in their homes as well as respect for authority.

Inspiration: Few are promoting purity of thought life today. Movies and TV are showing more and more scenes that make sex outside marriage seem attractive and exciting. Young and old Christians are exposed to magazines in stores that have women with virtually no clothes on. However, the good news is that Jesus is the healer. Jesus can restore anyone that has been sexually active in an ungodly manner back to purity again. One man who practised homosexuality wanted desperately to be healed by God. He asked Jesus to heal him and God did. This man and his wife now have a ministry and help similar people become sanctified in Jesus.

Inspiration: A president of a company was making lots of money. He started doing things that were against the law. Eventually he lost everything and went to jail. He is out of jail now starting all over again with new hope as he repented and committed his life to Christ.

Inspiration: A businessman was able to disregard impure lusts when he first became a Christian as he was so immersed in the Bible feeding his mind on the Word of God. However, over the years, he got too busy to read the Bible a lot. He also started watching immoral TV shows and movies which stirred up lustful thoughts. After being convicted of his sin, he recommitted his life to Christ, making a covenant with the Lord with his eyes that they would be focused on the Word of God.

1) When a baby learns to walk it stumbles and gets back and goes into the parents arms – so see the same parallel, when you as a baby Christian stumble in your Christian walk, run back to Jesus loving arms of forgiveness for a baby Christian does not become an adult Christian over night! He wants you to repent and ask His help for you to overcome your bad habits or addictions
2) Look at the things that cause you to sin, maybe TV, magazine, internet, movies, certain friends, parties – then ask Holy Spirit’s help to start separating your self from sinful traps of the devil and spend that time with Jesus instead
3) Get a new set of Christian friends that will pray with you on the phone and you study the Bible together during the week and pray for each other
4) Learn from children in their child like faith- they just trust God with no unbelief – increase your faith to that level as you retrain your thinking to be in line with the Bible not the ways of the world! You increase your faith by studying the Bible every day!
Important Action To Take:
1) Attend a Bible-believing church where Jesus is worshipped as Lord and Savior and the Son of God. Get involved and fellowship with mature Christians. Believe God’s thoughts of love and goodness towards you. Be teachable and not judgemental as all the church people are not perfect, only Jesus us perfect!
2) Search daily for promises in the Bible and apply them right away.
3) Talk to Jesus every day. Listen to God’s ways and obey His plan for you. Worship God with all your heart and make Him first priority in all.
4) Increase continually your love and faith in God and stay away from things that cause you to stumble into sin. This may mean a new set of friends
5) Submit to God’s authority, Jesus’ leadership and the power of the Holy Ghost.

For over 30 years I have seen people take scriptures like 1 Peter 5:7 in the Holy Bible and cast all their cares on Jesus as when you do this often tensions, anxieties and stress get released off your life so you need to give control of those things to Jesus!
One man a few days ago was going through financial stress and quoted Phil 4:19 (Jesus will meet all my needs according to his riches in glory) He said that over and over for 10 minutes and immediately felt better!
Another person quoted Psalm 23 and immediately felt faith rise up and get confidence that God will lead them and they do not need to fear the future!
Why are these above examples so powerful – The Holy Bible is not a history book but a spiritual book so Holy Spirit performs the scriptures that you speak with belief in your heart since Holy Spirit inspired the Bible!
So go ahead and dig into the scriptures – Read the top pages on how to become a Christian and read the Holy Scriptures daily to fill your mind body with life rather than the bad news from the devil in the world!
Remember Hebrew 11:6 says without faith it is impossible to please God and you increase you faith by studying the Holy Bible according to Romans 10:17
Inspiration: The apostle Paul is a good example of this scripture. He was constantly persecuted from city to city as told in the Book of Acts. More than forty men even made a pact not to eat or drink until they had killed Paul. However, the Lord also delivered Paul safely out of that situation.

Inspiration: A newspaper advertisement designer, who was 40 years old at the time, was challenged to attend church. He had never attended any church before so he took up and challenge and went. At this church he committed his life to Jesus. After his conversion to Christ, he started diligently reading a proverb and five psalms a day. This helped him to cover all the psalms and proverbs each month. He then joined the choir and wanted to sing intimate love songs to Jesus. Speaking psalms and singing hymns has given him new strength in his life.
