Inspiration: A Christian businessman uses this scripture to bring him peace in the middle of a storm. He pictures a strong tower with a mighty fortress around it. He runs under the tower and pictures Jesus (as a giant tower) standing over him. He feels safe and secure as arrows of fear and anxiety hit the outer fortress but do not enter inside.

Inspiration: A college boy’s mind snapped while he was streaking nude across the campus. A church leader was led by the Lord to pray all night for him since the boy had gone into a catatonic state. This minister bound the evil forces off him in Jesus’ name and the boy’s mind returned back to normal after 8 hours of prayer. This minister then instructed the boy’s father to get him involved in a really on-fire church that knows about the power of the Holy Spirit so the evil would not come back on him. Boys like this or others getting free from addictions have to lean daily on the grace of God and power of the Holy Spirit to help them stay clean.

Inspiration: A salesman struggled with alcohol. His career was so important to him that he often had to go out with his colleagues for a drink. This person also taught a class of children at his church and suddenly the thought hit him while he was drinking: “What if the children from my church class come into this bar and see me in this situation?” He finally took the issue to God in prayer and this scripture helped him to see that he might be causing other Christians to stumble. He stopped drinking. He started going to weekly Bible studies and grew stronger in Jesus’ authority to say NO in Jesus’ name to all sin temptations.

His teaching explained that when you did not forgive someone, you actually keep them a prisoner in your mind so you are the one who is tormented and not them. By simply asking forgiveness, you let that person go free, out of the prison of your mind where you were holding them, and thus you are the one who is set free.

Through this miracle the jailer and all his household became Christians.
