Inspiration: One lady got upset when someone told her that Jesus is the only access to eternal life. She thought her good works would be enough to get her into heaven. Inspiration: Many people struggle with parts of the Bible because they let human reasoning take over instead of faith. These people have never understood what real prophecy is and how God speaks. Inspiration: A couple was asked by God to start a Christian TV station which was a huge step of faith. They needed all the donations to arrive by the end of the month or else the deal would be cancelled. During the last week hardly any money came in. On the last day of the month they were $35,000 short. That same afternoon, a man came in with a check for exactly $35,000 saying he was on his way to buy a boat but the Lord told him to donate the money instead. They rushed to the bank and deposited the check just as the bank was closing. This started the first Christian TV station and many more have been started since then.

Inspiration: A woman of great faith said you have to constantly examine your heart. She called it a ‘Heart Check Up’ to make sure you are on the right path and doing God’s will. This checkup was to look for things such as envy, jealousy, pride, selfishness, and wrong motives and to have God search your heart and try you. I have found that constant prayer and Bible reading is the only way to keep on the right path that God has for us. There are so many lusts of the world that try to pull us into sin. However listening and obeying God will keep our faith strong and keep us from sins that cause damage not only to us but all those that know us.

Inspiration: I attended church for many years before I found out what spiritual warfare was in the Bible. I was leading one meeting when a church leader joined us. As I spoke about each event, everyone seemed confused and asked me to repeat things several times. I looked at the church leader as if to say: ‘Why am I always repeating myself?’ and the reply was, ‘There is confusion in this room and you did not pray over it, did you?’ This church leader showed me I needed to bind the enemy in prayer.

Inspiration: A church leader talked much about the Holiness of God and to revere God with holy fear. I had never been taught on the holiness of God but only the love of God, so at first I thought he was out of balance with too much talk of holiness. Later, I discovered that I was the one who was wrong and I needed to worship the Lord with much more reverence. This also produced a need for holiness in my life.

Inspiration: On a mission trip, we used an open fishing boat to preach the gospel. In one place someone removed the drain plug in our boat without replacing it, which caused the boat to sink under ten feet of water. Being far away from phones, there was no other solution but to pray that God would do a miracle. It took over three hours to pull the boat to the surface. We laid hands on the waterlogged engines and they started. Any mechanic would say God did a miracle! We praised God all the way home.

Inspiration: Many people tell me they don’t get anything out of going to their church. When they hear of sin in church leadership, it confirms in their mind that they made a good choice to stop going. Their busy lives left only one hour for God per week in church and now they have found an excuse not to go, nor try another church. Many of these people have not committed their lives to God. Becoming a disciple of Jesus is not on the top of their priority list. However if they would remember the first commandment to love God with all their hearts they would want to attend church to serve and worship God, to hear His Word and to grow in faith.

Inspiration: Over the centuries, some church leaders have taken a “vow of poverty” to help correct impending greed. Greediness is not from God, however poverty is not from God either. One church leader spoke at a business meeting and said: “Do you possess money or does money possess you?” This scripture points out that God does want us to prosper and be healthy as we let God control our money. However the essential part of the scripture is ..”as thy soul prospers..” God can bless as with health and prosperity to the degree we have the Word of God prospering in our souls and making our minds pure.

Inspiration: A salesman heard that the borrower is the servant to the lender, and started to do a Bible study on finances to see if it is God’s will to be in debt. He also studied the effect of debt on marriage and found it produced a lot of stress, since men and women view debt in different ways. This man has chosen to live with no debt as he wants to be a servant to the Lord and not be entangled in the ways of the world.

Inspiration: A young woman growing up with an alcoholic father lived in great fear of her father’s behavior. She told herself she would never marry a man that drinks. So she married a man that did not drink alcohol however still feared her that her husband would become an alcoholic one day and be like her father. Over the years, this constant fear formed a distorted view of her husband causing her to nag at him. She kept nagging him so much that he eventually had some alcohol to escape the stress Her continual nagging eventually drove him to became an alcoholic. What she feared eventually came true.

Inspiration: A president of an organization communicates his vision to people so that those who believe in it will help bring it into existence. This is a example of natural faith. Inspiration: A young boy, raised by a single mother with a small income, asked God, during a church service, for a financial miracle since it was his birthday. Inspiration: A missionary couple went to another country to work for God. The natives were hostile and killed the husband. The wife continued the work for God and was able to forgive them for killing her husband. This supernatural love and forgiveness working through this woman brought a mighty revival. Inspiration: I became a Christian shortly before I joined a large corporation. I never told anyone I was a Christian at work since I was more concerned about my career than anything else. I was scared to share Jesus with my fellow workers as I thought they would label me as a religious fanatic. I prayed to God for the baptism of the Holy Spirit and after that, God gave me boldness, not to impose my faith on others but to expose my faith. More and more opportunities arose for me to share my faith at lunch or after work with my colleagues. Inspiration: A Bible teacher shared that everyone has been given a gift (or talent) from God, whether it be cooking, hospitality, playing musical instruments, singing, having leadership capability or having a way with children. Inspiration: A century ago, a Christian doctor was called by God to Africa to do missionary work. This doctor believed in God’s power to heal and protect him. When he arrived in Africa, a plague was killing many people. He demonstrated to the medics God’s power by putting a live sample of the plague bacteria under a microscope. He then placed the live bacteria on his arm, cursed it in the name of Jesus, then moved it back under the microscope. The medics found this same bacteria was now dead. God used this Christian to bring about a tremendous revival of supernatural miracles since he obeyed all God asked him to do.

Inspiration: A businessman sowed financial seeds for the Kingdom of God for six years before his reaping time came. He was frustrated to see his bank account go to zero after all he had done for the Lord but it was at that time the Lord started doing financial miracles in his life.

Inspiration: One day a man pulled in to a gas station where my friend worked and said he needed some money as he was broke. He told my friend he would leave his diamond ring as collateral. My friend had a small mirror and tested the diamond ring to see if it would cut the glass in the mirror which it did so my friend thought it was a real diamond. He took the ring and gave the gas station’s money to the man. When the boss heard about it my friend was fired.

Inspiration: Here is the downfall of many Christians and churches. Inspiration: A farmer learned the power of his words in Jesus’ name. He had a large useless tree in his field taking up much crop space. One day he cursed this useless tree (just like Jesus cursed the fig tree in Mark 11:21). Six weeks later this tree was stone dead and the farmer knew it was due to his prayer. Decades later, this same farmer had a cancer spot on his liver. He remembered the tree on his farm and he cursed the cancer on his liver at the root and prayed for the disease to be cast out of his body. He believed the word spoken would come to pass and it did. The doctors confirmed there was no liver cancer!

He bought a Bible and went to share this scripture with his brother and sister-in-law and pray for the baby. The young child was healed as God worked through the hands of the doctors.

Inspiration: So many people have received healing from this scripture (with his stripes we are healed) which is repeated in the New Testament in 1 Peter 2:24. A young man that had a leg a half inch shorter than the other and wore a half inch heel pad in his shoe came for prayer. God healed him in front of our eyes and he threw his heel pad in the garbage. Inspiration: A lady who has preached the Gospel for 50 years gave her testimony at our church. She was deformed at birth and never walked for over a decade. For over 10 years, her mother never doubted that God would do a miracle and heal her. Sure enough, one day Jesus Christ came into their home like a wind and healed her. Her bones popped together as the power of God hit her and she got out of her wheelchair. Her mother had to have great faith in believing this miracle, as she had to wait so long for it.

Inspiration: One year I joined a group of Bible College students to feed the poor on Christmas Day. It was the first time I had ever been away from my family at Christmas. My eyes were opened to feel the pain of those who do not have a family. All of us were blessed tremendously to see the faces of the poor light up as we served them food and ate dinner with them.

Inspiration: One church member gave anonymously for years. Later in life, he found himself handing money directly to people for missions (instead of using an offering envelope) so that the church member receiving the gift would know that it was from him. He was later convicted by God that his motives in giving were not totally pure since he wanted some recognition for his mission givings.

Inspiration: I have met families that are so blessed as everyone in that family has committed their life to Jesus and has gotten saved. It is an encouragement to all of us that we should never give up praying for all our family and distant relatives wherever they live in the world.

Inspiration: I know an extremely intelligent man who thought he could manage his life on his own. His intelligence often blocked his ability to grasp faith. Later on in his life, when going through a crisis, he came to God with child like faith and committed his life to Christ.

Inspiration: A businessman was tested for awhile to see if he would trust in his riches or use his riches for advancing God’s Kingdom. During prayer, this businessman felt God speak to him to buy a motel and invite evangelists to use it free of charge if they would pass out Christian tracts to the surrounding area so that all people in the vicinity would hear about Jesus . Several years later, when he felt the evangelistic work was done, he was approached by a land developer, who offered this businessman 20 times as much as he originally paid for the motel and property. This man was able to give millions of dollars to God’s work.

Inspiration: In the 1980’s I heard a man prophesy about hand held computers and that God was saying His children were not listening to Him for inventions. It never occurred to me that good inventions were from God and, at that time, I didn’t know what a hand held computer was, since personal computers the size of desk tops were just coming out. Twenty years later, hand held computers are now called palm tops and are getting more powerful all the time. I now realize that God wants to give inventions to people that will use the invention and the income from it to advance His Kingdom.
