Testimony: One Bible teacher was speaking on the subject of why mankind is such a unique creation compared to the rest of the animals God created. Not only was mankind created in God’s image, but God gave us the ability to reason and to choose, even the ability to reject the one who created us. Testimony: One church leader asked his congregation to pray before each service. Usually the congregation did not pray or intercede much before the service began. Testimony: A truck driver had a rough upbringing as his father said to him “You’ll never amount to anything!” This produced unforgiveness which tormented this truck driver causing him to drink heavily. In his twenties, he had no self esteem and went downhill to the point of committing suicide. Just before taking his life he heard someone talk about Jesus on the TV. He got on his knees and asked Jesus to save him. He has become an on-fire Christian and has forgiven his father.

Testimony: A wife was ready to give up on her alcoholic husband but God spoke to her to pray for him. Her two young daughters started to pray over their Daddy’s beer in the refrigerator. When the father came home he went straight to the refrigerator for his beer. He drank the first sip and then spat it out thinking it was bad. He went down to the local bar and ordered a drink and even that tasted bad. The family kept praying and three months later, this husband got on his knees and gave his life to Christ.

Testimony: The president of a Bible College said that the best sermon you will ever preach is just to tell people how Jesus saved you. I practiced writing out my own story of how I became a Christian and how Jesus changed my life. I memorized a five minute version of my story to share with some people who are interested and a 30 second version of my story for the person who shows little interest. I learned that sharing Jesus becomes easier the more you do it.

Testimony: Statistics from the churches show that over 95% of the average congregation have never led one person to Jesus. This is because they have never been trained how to share their faith and overcome their fears. I am overjoyed to see more and more Christian literature that teaches people how to receive Jesus into their hearts. Those who are too nervous to share their faith with others can give the lost person some Christian literature to read and invite these people to church.

Testimony: I was involved in a missionary organization for years and we would always fast before a mission. When I read Isaiah 58, I really saw the power of fasting as it was to break the enemy’s stronghold, and bring people’s hearts closer to Jesus. On one mission it seemed like everything was against us, but after fasting there was a breakthrough and many gave their lives to Christ.

Testimony: One Bible teacher was talking about winning souls, and that Jesus left the 99 sheep and went searching for one that was lost. The teacher went on to say that winning souls is God’s top priority as Jesus wants all to be saved and none to perish. This teacher said, unfortunately, most Christians are not really concerned with the lost.

Testimony: This scripture has been such a blessing to me in the time of trials. When I was going through these times, I would think that if God was looking after the sparrows, surely He was watching over me. As I pondered on the fact that God had counted all the hairs on my head, and that He knew all my thoughts, desires and struggles, I had complete reassurance that I was going to pull through the trial.

Testimony: A Bible teacher was teaching on words. He said they are spiritual containers. Picture them like jars. If scripture is spoken, these spiritual jars carry faith, hope, love and healing to a person or nation and that jar is poured out on the recipient. The power of the words comes from a person who is submitted to the authority of Jesus Christ, and speaks the words with belief and authority in Jesus’ name.

Testimony: On a mission trip, one of the local church leaders spoke of the tribulation they went through in a war. This church leader had a vision of all his village being killed. He told everyone to pray. The enemy came three times to attack the village but Jesus protected them each time. The church leader said on one of the attacks, God confused the enemy so that, although they did land right on their shores, the enemy said to each other, “This is not the correct place..” and left.

Testimony: A software developer I worked with was a great example of God’s light in the business world. She was born in China and came to school in America. Christians on the school campus shared Jesus with her and she committed her life to Jesus. After graduating and coming to work at our firm, she was willing to share how she was raised as a Confucian, and later became a Christian. She was gentle and kind in her words, always thinking of others and remembering their birthdays.

Testimony: When I first got saved, I was convicted by God that I said many things that were displeasing to Him. Not only did I participate in dirty jokes but I used to be very sarcastic. I also was very judgmental and critical of others. God showed me that I needed to ask His Holy Spirit to help make me more holy as I couldn’t fix these problem areas in my life by myself.

Testimony: Stock market crashes and terrorist attacks can have a major impact on the wealth of the rich. This scripture clearly teaches people not to trust in riches but in God. One Bible teacher talks about investments. Instead of talking to people about a 10% gain in stock or a 20% gain in property, he asks them to consider investing in the Kingdom of God which has eternal pay backs. The rich need to remember that strong minds and strong families are gifts from God. A rich person becomes a tremendous blessing to God when they use their resources to bring the gospel and a Bible to every person in the world to learn of Christ.

Testimony: A secretary on a tight budget writes out her tithe to the Lord as soon as the money comes in. This secretary is a single mother and teaches her children to tithe, so that if someone gives one of the children a $10 bill, they put $1 aside to give to the work of the Lord.

Testimony: One Christian said you must do an outstanding job for your employer for they pay you to do your job not to evangelize. Testimony: An atheist saw a model of the sun and the planets on the professor’s desk and said to the professor: “That is an amazing replica of our solar system. Who made it?” The professor said “No one.” The atheist said “Come on, that model is so good, I want to know who made it?” The professor said “You believe that someone made this tiny model but you cannot believe God made our solar system in which we live.” This example can help all of us remember that God is the creator of all life. Some people get into confusion about how old the earth is but the bottom line is, that does not matter. God made it.

Testimony: One sales woman said she was not going to get close to God until she was ready to die. She didn’t realize the true abundant life in Jesus was waiting for her now. Testimony: The Bible shares God’s will in many places but some areas are revealed by prayer. For example, one man was considering going to Bible College. Some students from a Bible College came to visit this man’s church and participated in the service. After the service, one of the students put a Bible school application form in this man’s hand and said pray about it. This was the confirmation he needed to go to Bible College.

Testimony: At Bible College, we learned not to judge the teachers by their preaching style (loud or soft) or by their clothes (dreary or fancy) or by their mannerisms (flamboyant or non-emotional) but to judge the words that they say. So often people are prejudiced against others to the point that they switch them off before they hear what they have to say. Most Christians feel their church is the best since it is what they are accustomed to.

Testimony: An engineer and his wife who are also evangelists, shared that God gives them names and facts about people they have never met when they pray. One time while they were at a gas station, God told them some facts about another customer that was filling his tank at that gas station. They walked up to the man and said: “Are you so and so?” “Yes” answered the man obviously puzzled. They went on to tell him some facts about his life. The man saw that God must be talking to him through this couple so he responded to God and asked Jesus into his life as the couple prayed with him to dedicate his life to God.

Testimony: People today are ignorant of God’s Word because they do not read the Bible. One of the ten commandments “Do not commit adultery” is broken not only by non Christians, but even by some Christians who say sex before marriage is permissible since they are ignorant of God’s laws.

Testimony: A youth group gave our leader an offering of $500 cash in a sealed envelope but never told him how much it was. When building a church in Mexico, our leader was short of some materials so he went to the big city to buy them. The seller said the materials would cost about $500. Our leader had forgotten his wallet but did have the youth offering. He took out the sealed envelope and said: “This should cover it!” not knowing how much was inside. The vendor counted the money and it just covered the cost. He taught us not to waiver in faith or it could cost you. His common expression was “If you doubt, you will do without!”

Testimony: “Will there ever be world peace?” was a question that came up at our dinner table and a guest answered: “How can one have peace if one doesn’t have Jesus, the Prince of Peace in one’s heart.” My guest had a good point. Not only is world evangelism needed, but personal peace in one’s own heart needs to be emphasized. We all need to pray for each country’s ambassadors that they will become Christians and promote peace among the nations.

Testimony: One church leader constantly gives God glory during his services. In one service, I watched a seven year old mentally challenged boy get healed and start talking normally. His parents said their son had never spoken a word in his life. Then this church leader gave the microphone to this boy and asked him to sing the song “Jesus loves me.” The boy sang the song perfectly. I was in tears of joy and felt God’s power while the boy sang. God got all the glory as skeptics could not say this was fake.

Testimony: I was falsely accused a few years back by a man and it hurt me because it was a blow to my integrity. Immediately after it happened, I heard God’s voice in my heart say: “Pray for those who persecute you.” At first it was hard to do, but I was obedient to the Word of God and prayed for that man. I now have compassion for him as I have seen some of the struggles he has gone through. The secret about forgiveness is to forgive and forget. Many people forgive but they do not forget the hurt and let those thoughts get them upset at a later date. How thankful we are for Jesus forgiving and forgetting our sins.

Testimony: Many people argue that there is no such thing as hell. These people have not studied the Bible or else they would not take that position. A Bible teacher shared that hell was created for the devil which is explained in Matthew 25:41. God does not force a person to go to hell. He wants everyone to be with Him in heaven. God is good and everything bad is from the devil. The devil gets people to rebel against God. It is the rejection of Jesus that causes separation from God, so it is the responsibility of each individual person to choose their eternal destiny to be with Jesus in heaven or be in torments with the devil in hell.

Testimony: I was not as thankful as I should have been as I took many blessings from God for granted. It was when I was flat on my back one day, looking out the window, I suddenly saw the importance of rejoicing for every day that God gives us regardless of the pain or trials we are going through.

Testimony: When I first read this scripture my thought was that sheep were smart enough to follow the shepherd’s voice, but Christians, including myself, don’t even know what the Great Shepherd’s voice sounds like. Testimony: Some churches have become so blind that they say the Bible is just a history book. They preach from other historians rather than the Word of God and wonder why their congregations are dwindling. The blessed and growing churches are the ones who preach the Bible as God’s Word and give altar calls each service for people to commit their lives to Jesus. Testimony: Christians who have not seen Jesus are blessed because they have received Jesus by faith and not by sight. One Bible teacher explained that this is the reason why Jesus did not stay on earth and show himself to everyone after His resurrection. Jesus could easily extend Himself to be a giant, taller than the mountains, put a sword in people’s faces and say: “Now, do you believe?” Everyone would say “yes” in that situation, not out of love, but out of fear for their lives.

Testimony: I have made the mistake of criticizing people, and in doing so, verified that this scripture is true, since my criticism came back to slap me in the face. If you criticize, your words will come right back to you in the same area in your life. I learned that this can help me see my blind spots. As soon as I am about to criticize someone, I quickly stop myself and say: “Do I do that also?” The answer is often yes, and now my blind spot has been revealed.

Testimony: I need joy all the time. There have been times in my life when I felt like the children of Israel going through the desert. After prayer, joy would come and revive me. This joy of the Lord would encourage me to be like Joshua and Caleb. They were leaders who crossed the Red Sea on dry ground that made it into the promised land. Real lasting joy comes from a deep relationship with Jesus Christ being thrilled with the plan God has for our lives. Joy and laughter destroys fear, stress and anxiety. Testimony: Some people have criticized the church for not showing love and not having any more morals than they do. These people see one Christian denomination criticizing another denomination instead of loving them. They say the church is a bunch of hypocrites. I pray that these people will see Christian denominations work together as a team under one captain, Jesus Christ. I pray that Christians will love the lost with unconditional, unselfish love and have them look to Jesus as their example to follow.

Testimony: One evangelist in Africa says intercession is the detonator to revival. Intercession involves praying in the spirit and praying this scripture so that the blinders would be removed from the non-Christian’s minds. This scripture says the god of this world (satan) is against the work of God. So powerful intercession involves binding (Mathew 18:18) all evil works and strongholds of the devil off the area and off the minds of the people so they would see the truth and see that the devil is out to ruin lives with sin. Testimony: A man in his 50s spoke to our men’s retreat. He shared his testimony that he had struggled with sexual sin for over 20 years. His audience could not believe that this man would humble himself as most people keep this kind of sin in the closet. God’s power broke him free of this habit when he went forward for prayer at a service. Now he is sharing his testimony all around the world.

Testimony: I have attended services in many denominations and in many countries. Some Christians prefer to close their eyes during worship to block out distractions while others were like spectators, more interested in looking to see who was there and what they were wearing. I found the growing churches have a worship mix of hymns (for the older generation) and modern worship songs (for the younger generation) and these churches have taught people to worship God in spirit and in truth.

Testimony: A missionary doctor was in the jungle with his group and went for 3 days without food. They were constantly praying for a miracle when little cyclones appeared in the lake and fish were caught up in those mini cyclones and dumped on shore. The Christians praised God for this amazing miracle as Jesus provided food for them. The doctor said he was so hungry, he ate the first fish raw!

Testimony: When I read this scripture I was convicted by God of some of the words that I spoke. Years ago, I heard a funny joke from someone and used to repeat it often. Then someone said my joke was racist. I was blind to see any prejudice in this joke. I had to ask forgiveness for saying words that could offend people of different races.

Testimony: At Bible College we were taught to use this scripture before going out on an evangelical mission. We would pray in the Holy Spirit for a long time before we started the outreach. During prayer we would ask for God’s power to descend on us for boldness and for miracles. During our prayer time, our team would sometimes get a vision of a door number or a place that we were suppose to go and visit. We would obey the Holy Spirit’s directions and bring the Word of God to that area. After we returned from these outreaches, we discovered that the more time we spent in prayer listening to the Lord, the more miracles we would see.

I was convicted of this myself as I do not laugh and rejoice enough over the good things God has given me. Testimony: Many adults do not have respect for authority and many children have been brought up to hate the police and government and pay no attention to the elderly. My mother said when she grew up, the policeman was everybody’s friend. He would direct traffic and all the children would say “Hi” to him while crossing the street. I praise God for the families I see that show respect to all people; they shine out as a beacon for others.

Testimony: A man was taken to the hospital after being killed in a car crash. The doctor wrote out his death certificate. His wife believed God for the impossible. She had her dead husband put in a car and drove over to a Christian meeting in Africa which was over one day’s drive away. At this meeting, the Christians prayed for her husband and his heart start to get warm. As they kept praying, he rose from the dead before them all. Another miracle, concerning leprosy, was a man who had lost all his fingers along with his nose and ear lobes. After prayer, Jesus healed him by growing him new fingers, a nose and ear lobes

Testimony: So many non-Christians I meet divert the issue of asking Jesus into their hearts by saying, “What about the other religions in the World?” This scripture says each of us must give our own account to God on whether we have accepted Jesus, confessing Him as Lord and Savior over every area of our lives, or whether we have ignored Him.

Testimony: Keeping God’s Word is not only obeying the Bible but doing what God puts in your heart. A Christian (who has built a University) takes around a pad and pencil everywhere he goes just to be ready to write down what God says to him. By writing it down he does not forget anything, and is able to refer to his notes to do what God says.

Testimony: Over the years, one learns to take up the cross daily to crucify the desires and lusts of selfishness so that we can live more holy lives. Dying to self(self dignity and self reputation) was the hardest one for me.
