Testimony: A church leader taught me to pray over church meetings that people’s lips would be sealed from speaking out against the will of God. This leader said that he had a trouble maker in his church, and when he prayed this way, he noticed the trouble maker remained silent in meetings.

Testimony: One Bible teacher gave the best definition of grace that I had ever heard. He said today’s language has narrowed that definition down to mercy or unmerited favour. However that is only part of it. He said that grace is God’s power and ability to do in you what you can not do by yourself. This is why Paul emphasized in his writings in the Bible that with God’s grace (His power and ability) Christians could accomplish things they could not do by themselves.

Testimony: A couple with a tremendous healing ministry, have so much of the anointing of the Holy Spirit on them because of their prayer life. They want to know Jesus, understand His prospective, His priorities, His plan for their lives and how to minister to others. I recently heard the husband speak in a stadium of about 30,000 people. Jesus did miracles in that service and healed people. These miracles happened because these church leaders heard and obeyed the Holy Spirit’s directions.

Testimony: A Bible teacher said the important word to this scripture is believing. He said when you pray, you plant your seed like a farmer. The farmer always expects the seed to grow and talks about the harvest as he knows the harvest will come. This teacher said you have to pray this way believing in the harvest (the answer to your prayer) before you see it. So many want to believe after they see the answer but that requires no faith at all. Faith says “I believe my request is granted at the very moment I pray, since I am asking for something that I know is a promise of God found in the Holy Bible.”

Testimony: During my teenage years, I would have one foot with Jesus and one foot with the people-pleasing crowd. I was afraid to leave the people pleasers because I was too concerned about what they thought of me rather than what God thought of me. When I committed my life to Jesus and asked for the baptism of the Holy Spirit, God gave me the courage to jump in with both feet into His camp and to trust Him with my life. I was no longer a people pleaser but a God pleaser.

Testimony: In the 1980’s, when a well known evangelist sinned, Christian Television got a bad rap from the public. Christians themselves were quick to judge, criticize and point fingers at the sin instead of praying for the situation. A Bible teacher told us that immature Christians do not realize that when you harshly judge another for their sin, you are judged in the same manner. The mature Christians help restore those who have fallen.

Testimony: The president of an organization did a Bible study on “Who we are in Christ.” This president learned through his study that Christians are: children of God, redeemed, saved, sanctified, justified, forgiven, loved and blessed tremendously. The blessings include, health, the ability to gain wealth for His purposes and most importantly, eternal life. He says we need to meditate on these scriptures to understand more of God’s spiritual blessings.

They had excellent marriage counseling and that helped them control the anger, frustration and irritations that pop up in marriage. They made a point of never going to bed at night angry. Testimony: We would often go out two by two into the streets and neighborhoods to share Jesus. Most of the time we shared with people in their homes. One afternoon I came across about 10 tough guys. Fear and intimidation tried to get me to walk away and be quiet. However I took courage and shared my testimony before them all. I was amazed to find they listened closely and let me pray for them.
