Inspiration: One evangelist and his team held many crusades in Africa.  During his outdoor meetings he preached to thousands.  Even witch doctors were hearing the gospel and committing their lives to Christ.  In some of these meetings he had a metal garbage can for people to get rid of their satanic things, and he instructed those former witch doctors to destroy their evil books and potions.  This is a good example of Jesus Christ coming to destroy the work of the devil however it is up to us to learn the authority of the Christian believer.  We have authority over our lives but do not have authority over other’s lives or over other’s property.  They have to make the choice to renounce their evil deeds of the devil and commit their lives 100% to Jesus Christ!

Inspiration: Many high schools teach “safe sex” to their students, but the underlying message to the students is that it is time to start having sex, just do it safely which is against God’s Word.   I was excited to hear about some students of some high schools promoting “No sex till marriage.” These Christians were a great light to their peers.  They were popular students so the other students had respect for them and listened to them.  Parents with good looking teenagers have an extra responsibility to teach their children to be an example of God for good and not for evil since others will copy what they do!

Inspiration: A man said that as a six year old boy, he started reading the Bible each night.  He said this habit of reading scripture helped keep him pure from sexual relationships as a teenager.  When he was tempted, he would be able to look ahead at the future and see how this sin would wreck his life and his relationship with the Lord.  He said it was the constant reading of Proverbs that helped him keep his sexual life under control.  At 23 he threw out his TV set.   Then he had to constantly be on guard against lustful movies and internet videos.  He asks for Holy Spirit’s help each day. He teaches his flesh through fasting and prayer to abstain from all appearances of evil especially the thoughts of sexual impurity!  The Holy Scriptures teach us to die to the sins of the world and we need grace and God’s power to do that each day!

Inspiration: A body builder, who was saved and delivered from drugs, and herpes got hold of this scripture and has become a Christian leader praying for people to become free from addictions.  A man who had been an alcoholic for seventeen years, came to this leader’s home for prayer.  The body builder had trained his children in the ways of the Lord and his three year old child asked to pray for the alcoholic.  As the child prayed, the power of God hit the man.  He was delivered and set free from his alcoholism.  We all need to have faith of a child to believe and not doubt!

Inspiration: When I was going through a trying time in my life, a man prayed for me and said “God’s hand is on your life.”  This helped me picture God’s hand on my head.  I also thought about this scripture.  God looks after the birds of the air so surely He looks after me.  I am so thankful that God watches over His children so closely.  My relationship with the Heavenly Father has taken on a new intimacy where I see Him holding my hand in every situation.  I need to hear Holy Spirit’s warnings to stay away from things that will cause me to sin!

Inspiration: I committed my life to Jesus Christ and wanted to mature in my walk with Him.  As the years passed, He showed me that my compassion for others needed to grow.  It was easy to love the lovable but what about those people who would always needle me, who were all set to get into an argument, and still others who would attack me.  These were tests from the Lord that I needed to pass, as God was telling me to bless those who persecute me and pray for those who treat me poorly.  Treating prayer as a passionate love affair with Jesus Christ helps increase my faith and love seeing things from God’s perspective!

Inspiration: One Christian said he wanted to burn brighter and brighter each day he was alive for Jesus Christ. That thought blessed me as it got me thinking about always growing in the call God has for our lives which also enlightens our path.  It also means balance that we cannot burn out doing work for God and neglect out family!  Providing for family is our #1 priority before winning souls!  We also have to rest our bodies choosing one day week to have a Sabbath rest in the Lord so we can listen to Jesus during those resting times!  Some even take a sabbatical rest each 7 years such as outlined in the Holy Bible in the Old Testament to increase their faith, health, ministry and strengthen their marriage!

Inspiration: A Bible teacher taught on discernment one day.  He explained that thoughts come from three sources: 1. God, 2. the devil and 3. Self  (you can generate your own thoughts or hear what others say.)  This scripture can be used to analyze your thought life and immediately discern the source of a thought when it enters your mind.  Casting down thoughts that exalt themselves against God helps keep the mind clear and peaceful in God’s direction.  Hebrews 4:12 says the reading of the Word of God is needed to discern between right and wrong.  We need to know what is right and wrong from God’s perspective.  Holy Spirit has been given to us to help us each hour if we stop and listen to Him!  He always agrees 100% with the Bible since He inspired the Bible!

Inspiration: I have had many poor people ask me for money.  Some want money for food and some want money to promote their bad habits.  Each time I give to the poor, there is an opportunity to share Jesus Christ with them.  For many, it was wiser to give them food rather than money as some of the poor cannot be trusted with money.  Preaching the gospel was the most important thing they needed and I was able to pray with most of them.  Poor people must learn that God does not want them to be poor. Deuteronomy Chapter 28 says poverty is a curse.  The poor people can get a job and then give to other poor people to help them out.

Inspiration: A student did not want to forget God’s Word so he started memorizing scripture.  He wrote out passages from scripture on small cards and reviewed them over and over.  This helped build faith in his life as the scriptures were so ingrained in him that he would use them to help make all his decisions.  The memorized Holy Bible Scriptures also helped guard against fear and anxiety and helped when witnessing to the lost so that he gave exact chapter and verse to people for them to search the scriptures themselves!

Inspiration: One church learned a lesson from this scripture during one service.  The junior church leader did not consult the senior church leader.  He asked some members of the congregation to play some special music for the service while the senior leader had brought in outside musicians.  When two different musical groups arrived together before the service to practice, everyone was in confusion why 2 different groups where asked to play The devil brought in strife because of a lack of submission to authority.

Inspiration: When I read this scripture I promised to God I would not murmur.  Little did I know that I was about to go through several years of financial testing with very little money coming in.  On the days I felt like complaining, I would remember all the children of Israel (aged 20 and over) who, except for Joshua and Caleb, died in the wilderness because of their unbelief.  I resolved to be like Joshua and Caleb and not to doubt God’s promises in His Word.  It was my prayer time that gave me the insight to realize that God was watching over me, and I that I needed to trust Him to meet my daily needs instead of trusting in a bank account!

Inspiration: A Christian deacon was dying in hospital after having been hit by a car when crossing the street.  His church leader went to the hospital to pray for him.  On the way God spoke to this church  leader and said, “This man will die unless he changes the vision of his life.”  When the church leader got to the hospital, he spoke to the sick man, he asked him what vision he saw of himself.  The sick man said:  “I am dying.”  The leader said you will die unless you change your vision to line up with God’s vision in His Word.  They prayed and asked the sick man to see God’s vision for his life.  The sick man said: ” I see it now, I will live.”  The sick man was healed by Jesus Christ and left hospital shortly after that.

Inspiration: A United Nations delegate told us what it means to be a country’s ambassador.  He said you always represent your home country even though you do not live there.  He explained how similarly,  Christians are to represent God and Jesus Christ instead of themselves.  Their real homeland is heaven, but they have been given a space of time to evangelize the planet earth before being eternally with God in heaven.  The older you get, the more you see how short a time on earth really is and that you need to make your life count for Jesus Christ doing His Will not your will!

Inspiration: Holy Spirit used this Holy Bible Scripture to really convict me of the need for more holiness in my life.  It was at a time that I had added too many things to my daily schedule and got too busy for daily Holy Bible study which over a period of time caused me to start falling in love with the world instead of God’s call for my life.  I repented of my sin and knew from this mistake that I must always keep on, daily, studying the Holy Bible to grow in faith or else I would become a lukewarm Christian which is a bad example.  It also helped me see healing in a new light.  If Holy Spirit was dwelling in me and my body was the temple of God, then disease should be cast out of God’s temple with the prayer of faith in Jesus Christ’s powerful name!  It meant I also needed to exercise and eat better and look after my body without lusting after anything.

Inspiration: A missionary couple from the Philippines spoke at our church. They proved this Holy Bible Scripture is true as they have been doing missionary work for twenty years and God has blessed them with seven children, all of whom are training to become missionaries.  They are all hungry to help the lost come to Jesus Christ.  I have met 2 other Christian couples with 6 children each and all of their children are following the Lord.  These parents raised their kids to hear the voice of the Lord and follow the path Jesus Christ had for them.

Inspiration: One Holy Bible teacher said “God is a good God and the devil is a bad devil.”  This helped me realize that God is love and doesn’t torture us with bad things to discipline us.  It is the devil who tempts us and if we give in to him, he becomes the tormentor and blames it all on God.  The devil is the designer of all sickness, disease, mental torment and poverty.  God put us in charge to take authority over the devil in Jesus Christ’s mighty name and to cast Him out.

Inspiration: One Christian leader who had prayed for many others to be healed, was dying of tuberculosis, and although many were praying for him he got steadily worse.  He had to stop his ministry and move in with his parents as he was getting weaker and weaker.  As he was getting close to death,  he said to himself “I am getting off this death bed and going to walk outside to a certain tree and praise God.  Regardless if I die I will be praising Jesus Christ.”  He was so weak he could hardy get to the place under that certain tree and his family did not know it as they were working outside during that time.  As he lay there the devil spoke to him and said “you will die here and vultures will eat you as no one knows you are here”.  He rebuked the devil and had started praising God with a whisper, then he got strength to lift his hands, then to start to walk and then to start shouting praises to Jesus Christ.  It wasn’t long before he was totally healed, all from praising God.

Inspiration: A student struggled with sexual thoughts even after he had received Jesus Christ into his heart.  It got him depressed and he questioned if he was really a child of God since he had so many impure thoughts.  He thought that when you were “saved” you got a new mind.  What he did not realize was that when you get saved, only your spirit is renewed.  You don’t get a new body nor a new mind at that time.  This scripture from Romans 12:1-2 helped him to understand that one’s mind had to be renewed to God’s ways which takes time.  Studying the Holy Bible and worshipping Jesus Christ at home and at church helps one renew their mind to the mind of Christ.  Asking Holy Spirit to rule over our emotions and keep us away from ungodly visions on the TV, movies, and internet, help us to become more Holy and say no to sin temptations in the mighty and powerful name of Jesus Christ!
