Inspiration: God loves to show how strong He is and a good example of this in the Old Testament is the story of Daniel.  Daniel had been falsely accused and thrown into the lion’s den.  In most cases, that person would have been eaten alive, but God’s eyes were on Daniel and God sent an angel to keep the lions’ mouths closed.  Daniel received this prayer answer as his heart was righteous in the sight of God.  God wants to do that for all who will follow Christ and listen to God’s instructions for protection

Inspiration: A twelve year boy was reading the story in the Old Testament where Solomon asked God for the gift of wisdom.  This boy thought he should ask God for a gift and that night he asked God for the gift of the God type of love not really knowing what he asked for.  Years later when he became a man, this boy was so full of God’s love that he wanted to write love songs to Jesus similar to the songs in heaven and he has and is encouraging all to grow deeper in love with Jesus having a passion to win the lost back to Jesus Christ.

Inspiration: Today’s society is influencing a lot of children to have little respect for authority or their parents. Subliminal TV shows portray children’s rebellion as funny, so children do not respect their teachers at school and even see the police (who protect them) as their enemy. However, I am happy to see that some Christians teach the right balance between discipline and love in their homes as well as respect for authority.

Young and old Christians are exposed to magazines in stores that have women with virtually no clothes on. However, the good news is that Jesus is the healer. Jesus can restore anyone that has been sexually active in an ungodly manner back to purity again. One man who practiced homosexuality wanted desperately to be healed by God. He asked Jesus to heal him and God did. This man and his wife now have a ministry and help similar people become sanctified in Jesus.

Inspiration: One young person who really got my walk going with God was an eighteen year old mentally challenged boy. I was not a Christian at the time, but volunteered to spend some time helping the mentally challenged and play games with them. As I looked into this boy’s eyes, I could sense that he knew God better than I did. I could see the love of Jesus Christ in him and it was so pure that it challenged me to search more for God’s love.  God then started revealing His love to me more and more as I started paying attention and listening to God.

Inspiration: The apostle Paul is a good example of this scripture.  He was constantly persecuted from city to city as told in the Book of Acts in the Holy Bible.   More than forty men even made a pact not to eat or drink until they had killed Paul.  However, the Lord also delivered Paul safely out of that situation.  By studying the book of Acts, you will see countless times the enemy tried to kill Paul and God rescued him for He was obedient to God’s plans.  Pray the blood of Jesus Christ over you, your family, neighborhood, your business and assets every day for protection.

Inspiration: A newspaper advertisement designer, who was 40 years old at the time, was challenged to attend church.  He had never attended any church before so he took up and challenge and went.  At this church he was convicted of God’s love and truth he committed his life to Jesus Christ.  After his conversion to Christ, he started diligently reading a proverb and five psalms a day from the Holy Scriptures.  This helped him to cover all the psalms and proverbs each month.  He then joined the choir and wanted to sing intimate love songs to Jesus Christ.  Speaking psalms and singing hymns has given him new strength in his life.

Inspiration: One evangelist and his team held many crusades in Africa.  During his outdoor meetings he preached to thousands.  Even witch doctors were hearing the gospel and committing their lives to Christ.  In some of these meetings he had a metal garbage can for people to get rid of their satanic things, and he instructed those former witch doctors to destroy their evil books and potions.  This is a good example of Jesus Christ coming to destroy the work of the devil however it is up to us to learn the authority of the Christian believer.  We have authority over our lives but do not have authority over other’s lives or over other’s property.  They have to make the choice to renounce their evil deeds of the devil and commit their lives 100% to Jesus Christ!

Inspiration: Many high schools teach “safe sex” to their students, but the underlying message to the students is that it is time to start having sex, just do it safely which is against God’s Word.   I was excited to hear about some students of some high schools promoting “No sex till marriage.” These Christians were a great light to their peers.  They were popular students so the other students had respect for them and listened to them.  Parents with good looking teenagers have an extra responsibility to teach their children to be an example of God for good and not for evil since others will copy what they do!

Inspiration: A man said that as a six year old boy, he started reading the Bible each night.  He said this habit of reading scripture helped keep him pure from sexual relationships as a teenager.  When he was tempted, he would be able to look ahead at the future and see how this sin would wreck his life and his relationship with the Lord.  He said it was the constant reading of Proverbs that helped him keep his sexual life under control.  At 23 he threw out his TV set.   Then he had to constantly be on guard against lustful movies and internet videos.  He asks for Holy Spirit’s help each day. He teaches his flesh through fasting and prayer to abstain from all appearances of evil especially the thoughts of sexual impurity!  The Holy Scriptures teach us to die to the sins of the world and we need grace and God’s power to do that each day!

Inspiration: A body builder, who was saved and delivered from drugs, and herpes got hold of this scripture and has become a Christian leader praying for people to become free from addictions.  A man who had been an alcoholic for seventeen years, came to this leader’s home for prayer.  The body builder had trained his children in the ways of the Lord and his three year old child asked to pray for the alcoholic.  As the child prayed, the power of God hit the man.  He was delivered and set free from his alcoholism.  We all need to have faith of a child to believe and not doubt!

Inspiration: When I was going through a trying time in my life, a man prayed for me and said “God’s hand is on your life.”  This helped me picture God’s hand on my head.  I also thought about this scripture.  God looks after the birds of the air so surely He looks after me.  I am so thankful that God watches over His children so closely.  My relationship with the Heavenly Father has taken on a new intimacy where I see Him holding my hand in every situation.  I need to hear Holy Spirit’s warnings to stay away from things that will cause me to sin!

Inspiration: I committed my life to Jesus Christ and wanted to mature in my walk with Him.  As the years passed, He showed me that my compassion for others needed to grow.  It was easy to love the lovable but what about those people who would always needle me, who were all set to get into an argument, and still others who would attack me.  These were tests from the Lord that I needed to pass, as God was telling me to bless those who persecute me and pray for those who treat me poorly.  Treating prayer as a passionate love affair with Jesus Christ helps increase my faith and love seeing things from God’s perspective!
