Inspiration: A businessman read the Bible for many years, but it was when he started studying it, meditating on certain sentences for a while and placing himself in the scenes in the Bible, that his faith really started to grow.  God was able to speak clearly to this person through the Bible since he was studying and listening to the Holy Spirit for understanding of the Holy Scriptures.  This businessman hears God clearly since studying the Bible helps you discern between your emotions and your intents versus God’s intents.

Inspiration: God is good and the devil is bad!  All good things are from God and all bad things or evil thoughts are originated by the devil who has rebelled against God and has been kicked out of heaven to earth!  Think of the Goodness of God and that He has pleasure to give you Good things not lustful things of the world!  God has given you His best, His Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for you, to rescue you from your sins and give you everlasting life in heaven.  God wants to give you good things as you walk uprightly before Him!

Inspiration: In Acts, Chapter 2, God poured out His Spirit on 120 disciples.  Then these disciples preached to the people about the Kingdom of God and 3000 were saved in one day and 5000 on another day.   Holy Spirit also fell on the gentiles (non Jews)  in Acts, Chapter 10, and the Kingdom of God was received by many.  Open our eyes to listen to Holy Spirit to walk in Gods ways so we don’t follow after the lusts of the world!

Inspiration: In Mexico, a church leader and his ministry team have reported God raising people from the dead.  One occurrence was when a small boy fell into a hole and cracked his skull open so that some of his brains fell out.  The little boy was dead for hours.  The church leader prayed for him, and God raised him from the dead.  Reports are coming from different countries in Africa also about raising from the dead!  Thank you Lord nothing is impossible for those that believe in Jesus’ power!

Inspiration: There was a man in the Bible called King Saul, and although he was true to God at first,  later he disobeyed God.  He was jealous of David, and started planning to kill him since he didn’t want David to be King.  (Samuel 28:6)  When the Philistines later attacked Israel,  Saul prayed to the Lord for help but the Lord did not answer him.  Let us learn from this example to have a repentive heart to ask forgiveness in the name of Jesus the minute we sin.

Inspiration: In the Bible, there was a story of a rich man and a poor man. The poor man was called Lazarus and was a beggar who was laid at the rich man’s gate.  The rich man did not help Lazarus.  This scripture tells us that after the rich man died, he cried out for answers but did not receive anything from the Lord. (Luke 16:19-31)  As we do things for the least of the brethren, we are doing it unto Jesus!

Inspiration: I have been in a church service when Holy Spirit spoke directly to people through the Bible.  I now see that it is the responsibility of the listener to be keenly aware of the words being spoken, not only the words of the Holy Bible,  but also the words God will speak to them directly through prayer if they are paying attention.  One word from God can change a life!  One word from God can change a nation!

This gives us encouragement that when we keep our eyes on Jesus, obeying His plan for our lives,  He can keep us from falling and present us to God the Father in heaven for us to live in heaven for eternity!

Inspiration: A husband was in hospital following heart surgery when his wife got a call in the middle of the night to say that her husband’s condition was critical and that she needed to come immediately.  As she drove to the hospital, fear gripped her.  She remembered the scripture, Fear is not of God.  Fear is insufficient trust in God. This gave her peace of mind as she watched her husband pass through the critical stage on to recovery.  Thanks be to Jesus who has given us the victory over fear!

Inspiration: My grandparents honoured their father and mother all their lives and they lived a long time on this earth.  In my grandmother’s later years, she required much nursing care which became tedious.  My mother looked after my grandmother in those tough times and in doing so, she honoured this commandment.   What gave her strength and patience was the Bible teaching that she was doing it also unto Jesus.  When I was 23 years old I finally thanked my parents for bringing me into this world and that I would always love them for the sacrifices they made!

Inspiration: A worship leader was praying the Lord’s prayer and when he came to the part "Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven", he asked God for wisdom to bring Heaven’s worship down to earth.  This Christian started to ask for songs that were sung in heaven so that they could be sung on earth.  He also asked God for new heavenly musical instruments to be invented by Christians on earth so that more glory could go to God.  He also asked for worship leaders to be more sensitive to Holy Spirit’s leading for the songs in each service so that Holy Spirit’s power can move in mighty way for miracles in the service for God’s glory!

Inspiration: In Acts Chapters 27 and 28, the Apostle Paul went through a major test even though he tried to warn the leaders of the danger that lay ahead.  Paul and the rest of the 275 people on the ship had to endure a terrible storm which in those days often meant death.   The ship ended up being wrecked on an island where Paul, while helping to build a fire, was bitten by a poisonous snake.  The islanders were amazed that the snake’s bite did not harm him.  Later Paul prayed for one of the island leaders who was sick and Jesus healed that man. Through these trials the island of Malta saw the power of Christ.  Think also of how these 275 people on the ship could be converted and become on-fire Christians to change their world for Christ since God had saved their lives from ship wreck!

Inspiration: A Christian businessman uses this scripture to help in the trials of life.  He also read in the Bible that heaven is Jesus’ throne and earth is His footstool and thought about Jesus putting His feet up on the earth as a footstool.  As he pondered on the size of His feet (in this image of Jesus using the earth as His footstool), he saw how powerful Jesus is and how evil can never defeat the Christian that calls on Jesus to rescue him.  It is through prayer and meditation on the Bible Scriptures that Jesus becomes so powerful in your life so that you can bind the devil in Jesus’ name according to Matthew 18:18 and cast him out of a situation.  Matthew 18:18 also says to loose. Inspiration: A Christian had water sprinkled on him as a baby but he thought he needed to be water baptized as an adult since as a baby, baptism meant nothing to him.  As he thought about being baptized in water, he became nervous of what others might think of him and was embarrassed to be baptized in front of people. He then saw that was pride in his life.   When he learned that water baptism involved going under the water to die to self and being raised from the water was to live a new life for Jesus, he asked to be water baptized.  He then understood how important dying to self was so water baptism was a reminder to die to self and live for Christ!

Inspiration: A church leader taught on prayer being the most important part of a Christians life and to ask God for His Holy Spirits anointing during prayer time.  He said try to pray an hour a day and use the Lords prayer as your main prayer.  When praying the Lords prayer, he said do not rush through it but take each sentence and apply it to as many situations as the Holy Spirit shows you.  For example, the sentence:   Thy Kingdom come      can be prayed,   Thy Kingdom come on our government, Thy Kingdom Come on all governments,  Thy will be done in my familys life, Thy Will be done in our church as it is in heaven.  This prayer is so powerful when you take time to analyze it and pray it in the powerful name of Jesus!

Inspiration: A single man who had just become a Christian was set up on a blind date by one of his non-Christian friends.  He invited this blind date over for dinner and after dinner discovered this woman liked to sleep around.  Jesus showed the single man of how he would feel the morning after, if he had sex with her.    She made gestures of wanting sex; however, this Christian would have no part of it and ended the evening abruptly.  He discovered he could not date non-Christian women since they would only pull him away from Jesus.

Inspiration: A woman from another religion was raped by a man with known HIV Aids virus.  This devastated woman went to the doctor to have her blood tested and received the terrible news that the man who raped her had given her the HIV Aids virus.  This woman came to our Christian Bible study and asked for prayer.  She became a Christian and Jesus healed her.  She went back to the doctors for more blood tests to prove that her blood was now pure free of the HIV disease.  The doctors confirmed the miracle as she was now given clearance to work her job again.  I saw her a year after her healing and she was as strong and healthy as ever.

Inspiration: An evangelist and his team were called by God to witness in a rough area of town.  This team felt God’s presence on them as they had spent a long time in prayer before they went out.  As they walked down the streets sharing with the people coming out of bars, they came across a man who pulled a gun on them.  The evangelist said "No weapon formed against me shall prosper" and God knocked the gun out of this man’s hand.  The team then told the man about Jesus.  God protected all the team!

Inspiration: A 20 year old Christian lady told us she would never forgive the man who raped her a few years back.  We explained to her that Jesus wanted her to forgive that man.  Even though she could not forgive him on her own, we told her that Jesus would give her His strength to be able to forgive him. Three months later I saw this same lady and she was overjoyed to tell me that she did forgive the man that raped her and that God was blessing her life ever since.  She said when she forgave him, she cried all that day all the hurt from that rape disappeared out of her life!

Inspiration: I met a young girl who was healed of cerebral palsy.  Her mother told me that some Christians prayed for her daughter and Jesus healed her of that disease.  I watched this child jump up and down playing with the other children outside.  She leaping at least 1 or 2 inches off the ground so no skeptics could say this was not a miracle.  This miracle broadcasted on the radio brought great glory to God.
