Testimony: Many people have been fooled by “get-rich quick” schemes. A phony life insurance man came to my door and somehow made it into my apartment and onto my couch. He said “Pay me 99 cents a day and if you get killed, I will pay one lump sum of $500 to your family.” Doing the math in my head, I saw at once that this was a scam and asked the man to leave.

A church leader of one of the largest churches in the world said that most Christian leaders he meets, do not really pray that much. Testimony: Today’s society has many people saying the Bible is only a history book and is not actually the Word of God. Testimony: One Bible teacher explained that walking by faith involves spending time everyday in the Holy scriptures letting the Holy Spirit speak to you through the pages of the Bible. It also involves mediating on scriptures over and over until you see yourself walking out the victory promise in the Bible. Faith begins where the will of God is known so walking by faith is knowing God’s will. Most people want to see the answers to their prayers before they will believe in them. That requires no faith at all. The teacher explained that you have to believe in the answer before you see it, as that is what walking by faith is all about.

Testimony: One year I joined a group of Bible College students to feed the poor on Christmas Day. It was the first time I had ever been away from my family at Christmas. Testimony: A very prosperous businessman was tested for awhile to see if he would trust in his riches or use his riches for advancing God’s Kingdom. During prayer, this businessman felt God speak to him to buy a motel and invite evangelists to use it free of charge if they would pass out Christian tracts to the surrounding area so that all people in the vicinity would hear about Jesus . Several years later, when he felt the evangelistic work was done, he was approached by a land developer, who offered this businessman 20 times as much as he originally paid for the motel and property.

Testimony: In the 1980’s I heard a man prophesy about hand held computers and that God was saying His children were not listening to Him for inventions. It never occurred to me that good inventions were from God and, at that time, I didn’t know what a hand held computer was, since personal computers the size of desk tops were just coming out. Twenty years later, hand held computers are now called palm tops and are getting more powerful all the time. I now realize that God wants to give inventions to people that will use the invention and the income from it to advance His Kingdom.

Testimony: Two men were sailing on the lake and one of the men unknowingly lost his car keys in the water. When they got to shore they were not able to drive home since they knew the keys were at the bottom of the lake somewhere. They decided to pray and ask the Lord to lead them to the keys.
