Jesus The Christ Is Lord

Scripture: But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; 18 that thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly. (Matthew 6:17-18)

Prayer: Heavenly Father, Let me fast the way you want me to fast as in this scripture and in Isaiah 58. Thank you for the reward for fasting. It makes my spirit stronger to overcome temptations. Let me pray while I am fasting and be more sensitive to your leadings!  In Jesus’ name I pray.
