Inspiration: One teacher said "God is a good God and the devil is a bad devil."  This helped me realize that God is love and doesn’t torture us with bad things to discipline us.  It is the devil who tempts us and if we give in to him, he becomes the tormentor and blames it all on God.  The devil is the designer of all sickness, disease, mental torment and poverty.  God put us in charge to take authority over the devil in Jesus’ mighty name and to cast Him out.

Inspiration: One Christian leader who had prayed for many others to be healed, was dying of tuberculosis, and although many were praying for him he got steadily worse.  He had to stop his ministry and move in with his parents as he was getting weaker and weaker.  As he was getting close to death,  he said to himself "I am getting off this death bed and going to walk outside to a certain tree and praise God.  Regardless if I die I will be praising Jesus."  He was so weak he could hardy get to the place under that certain tree and his family did not know it.  As he lay there the devil spoke to him and said "you will die here and vultures will eat you as no one knows you are here".  He rebuked the devil and had started praising God with a whisper, then he got strength to lift his hands, then to start to walk and then to start shouting praises to Jesus.  It wasn’t long before he was totally healed, all from praising God.

Inspiration: A student struggled with sexual thoughts even after he had received Jesus into his heart.  It got him depressed and he questioned if he was really a child of God since he had so many impure thoughts.  He thought that when you were "saved" you got a new mind.  What he did not realize was that when you get saved, only your spirit is renewed.  You don’t get a new body nor a new mind at that time.  This scripture from Romans 12:1-2 helped him to understand that one’s mind had to be renewed to God’s ways which takes time.  Studying the Bible and worshipping Jesus at home and at church helps one renew their mind to the mind of Christ.  Asking Holy Spirit to rule over our emotions and keep us away from ungodly visions on the TV and internet help us to become more Holy and say no to sin temptations in the mighty and powerful name of Jesus!

Inspiration: Today’s society and pressures make most people selfish.  At College or University, the common expression in conversations is:  "How is this conversation going to benefit me?"   Bumperstickers say "He who has the most toys when he dies, wins."   I realized it is only by the saving grace of Jesus and renewing one’s life to His ways, that one can escape the world of selfishness and enter into the Christian life of selflessness.  Adult water baptism is for a Christian to go under the water and die to their old self and selfish ways, and rise up out of the water to live 100% for Jesus and His plan for their life!

Inspiration: A high school basketball team got into the finals.  The game went into overtime and when one school won, one boy was chosen MVP ( most valuable player) of the game.  As he was interviewed on the radio, he ended his speech with "I give all the glory and honor to Jesus Christ, my Savior."  One man listening to that radio broadcast gave his life to Jesus on hearing about this MVP’s testimony!

Inspiration: A twenty-year old, fast food store worker shared his testimony with us.  He said at age four, his parents divorced and he lived one year with his mother.  His mother didn’t want him and sent him to his Dad. His Dad didn’t want him and sent him to his grandparents.  At the age of seven, his grandparents gave up on him and he was moved from foster home to foster home.  It was at Christmas time when he shared his story and I wept hearing he had no family that cared about him nor tried to keep in touch with him.  The good news is that he has committed his life to Jesus, was party of our church family and God sent him a friend to share Christmas with.  Let us open our eyes to the hurting world around us!

Inspiration:  In the business world, I had to work with people who would curse and swear and afterwards I often had their swear words rolling around in my head.  Although I was able to take authority over the spirit of profanity in my life,  I felt I needed to have a talk with one particular colleague.  I shared my thoughts in a respectful way and from that day on he stopped cursing Jesus’ name.  Later on he asked me more about my faith in Jesus so I knew I had helped him in a loving an encouraging way instead of a condemning way (with God getting all the glory)!

Inspiration: A systems engineer had to stop looking at TV as it fueled lustful thoughts in him.  Instead he used that time to study the Bible, to pray and to go to as many Christian teaching sessions as possible.  He tried to walk in the Spirit as best he could.  Being totally on fire for the Lord helped minimize the temptations of the devil.  He also quoted James 4:7 to the devil when tempted and commanded the devil to flee in Jesus’ mighty name!

Inspiration: A student had a vision of this scripture and how it would apply to King David.   In the Bible, the enemy was trying to kill the Israelites and especially the King.  This student pictured the enemy as having hundreds or even thousands of their best archers all shooting at King David, yet all these arrows could not kill him as God was his shield.  This student knows you are never to jump in front of bullets to temp the Lord your God however he understands that that Jesus will protect him as he does God’s will.  He claims the blood of Jesus over his family, neighbors, job, house, assets, ministry every day and tithes at church so that, according to Malachi 3:10-12, the Lord rebukes the devourer for him!

Inspiration: My prayer at my job was that I would be like Daniel in the Bible who had "God’s excellence" on him.  God blessed my work tremendously to the point where one year I was the top employee among seven different cities.  God promoted me by blessing my work and letting me produce  much for the company.  Every year God blessed my work to the extend I was given free vacations in exotic resort places along with the other top performers from my firm.  The top salesmen in the entire nation gave a speech at one of these trips and he said "I give all the glory to God".  This blessed me since all the non Christians heard it.  I started to pray more for my boss, my company, my nation and all those who are in authority over me that they would be protected and make Godly decisions!

Inspiration: I have seen many miracles right before my eyes.  Healing miracles are awesome but salvation miracles are even greater.   One day some people from our church went to a rough neighborhood in town to share Jesus and bring food to the poor.  We would pray beforehand to ask God where to send us.  A husky tattooed-man drinking beer came up to me on the street one day and started talking.  Minutes later he started to cry, and I was able to lead him in prayer to Jesus.  It was Holy Spirit’s power that hit him. This showed me that witnessing becomes easier the more time one spends praying in the Holy Spirit before one goes out.  We have prayed an hour before we went out witness and saw amazing miracles!  My Goal is to pray 4 hours in the spirit and worshiping God before going out to minister for Jesus!

Inspiration: A Christian salesman worked for many years in a large firm.  One day he had a meeting with his boss who wanted to evaluate his work.  This Christian received an excellent evaluation and the boss used two words to describe this employee – integrity and sincerity.  This Christian was blessed to hear this as he wanted his life to be a good example in the workplace.  He also met with others in the workplace to share Jesus at lunch and times outside of the office hours so that he could be a light for Jesus Christ with the help and boldness and grace from Holy Spirit!   He learned that all Christians are to share Jesus and not make excuses that it is someone else’s job!

Inspiration: A business man went out to the city dump to bring groceries to the children that were digging for food in the dump!  God called this businessman to start a soup kitchen with his church to feed all the poor in his city!  All the poor that come in for a free meal have to hear the gospel preached for an hour before they get their free lunch and some groceries to take home!

Inspiration: I have seen more than one family get greedy over an inheritance.  This greed caused strife and division.  My friend was caught in the middle of an inheritance fight. He prayed and sought the Lord’s help.  He worked hard to keep the family together and today they are getting along quite well.  Daily prayer was needed and God answered prayer!

Inspiration: A Bible teacher said this is a vital scripture to help Christians in all areas especially with finances and healing.  People need to pray constantly and have God’s thoughts and His Word running through their minds and hearts so that they can rest on the solution and not get anxious about the problem.  When you constantly quote the scripture solution for your problem and back up your belief with corresponding actions, then Holy Spirit will bring to pass the scripture solution you are praying for and acting upon.  We cannot waiver but must stand on God’s promises before we see them with our eyes as that is what faith is all about!

Inspiration: One Bible teacher gave this definition of grace.  He said today’s language has narrowed that definition down to mercy or unmerited favour.  However that is only part of it.  He said is God’s power and ability to do in you what you can not do by yourself.  So you are to move in God’s grace to conquer sin in your life, move in God’s grace to conquer fear and do God’s will, move in God’s grace to love the lost and get them saved in Jesus’ precious work on the cross.  This is why Paul emphasized in his writings in the Bible that with God’s grace (His power and ability) Christians could accomplish great things for Jesus that they could not do by themselves so that God would get all the glory.

Inspiration: A couple with a tremendous Christian healing ministry, have so much of the anointing of Holy Spirit’s anointing on them because of their prayer life.  They want to know Jesus, understand His prospective, His priorities, His plan for their lives and how to minister to others.  I recently heard the husband speak in a stadium of about 30,000 people.  Jesus did miracles in that service and healed people. These miracles happened because these church leaders heard and obeyed the Holy Spirit’s directions.

Inspiration: A business person says he needs to cast his cares upon the Lord constantly.  His major care is his personal reputation and dignity, and he realizes that this causes him to be overly concerned about what other people think of him.  He says he needs to die to his reputation and stop taking on so many cares and worries.  He uses this scripture to help him to stop worrying.  He also realizes Jesus can help him do excellent work on the job as Holy Spirit can show all of us how to fix any situation no matter how impossible it looks!

Inspiration: I worked for a large corporation, and one of my team mates came up to me and said: "I want the peace you have in your life."  He went on to say that the stresses of life got him down so much that he wanted to escape from it all.  I was grateful that God let my light shine with His peace in the workplace.  It was Jesus that gave me peace in my prayer times of that stressful work as when I came home, I had to unplug from all the days activities spinning around in my head and get filled with God’s peace  I also had to cast all my cares on the Lord!

Jesus The Christ Is LordInspiration: When I read this scripture, I see that sin really hurts my relationship with Jesus as well as those around me.  I used to see sin as just hurting me.  Now I see that sin is direct rebellion against God’s laws and that I need to teach myself to hate sinning asking Holy Spirit’s power and Grace every hour of every day to help me say no to temptation.  With God all things are possible.   His Grace was sent to us so that we can conquer sin in our lives in Jesus’ mighty  name confessing our sins as we repent and ask forgiveness.  As we put on the armour of God, as Esphesians 6 says, and crucify the lusts of our flesh, waking in the power of Holy Spirit, we do not grateful the lusts of the flesh!  If the TV or internet causes us to sin, we simply unplug it and start going out to win souls and do the ministry God has put before us!

He said when you pray, you plant your seed like a farmer.  The farmer always expects the seed to grow and talks about the harvest as he knows the harvest will come.  This teacher said you have to pray this way believing in the harvest (the answer to your prayer) before you see it.  So many want to believe after they see the answer but that requires no faith at all.  Faith says “I believe my request is granted at the very moment  I pray, since I am asking for something that I know is a promise of God found in the Holy Bible.”  Praying according to God’s Word and acting on God’s Word are essential that our prayers are for the things God wants for us and not for us to ask for the riches and lusts of the world!

Inspiration: During my teenage years, I had one foot in with following Jesus and one foot with following my unsaved friends and the people-pleasing crowd.  I was afraid to leave the people pleasers because I was too concerned about what they thought of me rather than what God thought of me. When I committed my life to Jesus and asked for the baptism of Holy Spirit,  God gave me the boldness and courage to jump in with both feet into His camp and to trust Jesus with my entire life.  I was no longer a people pleaser but a God pleaser.

Inspiration: In the 1980’s, when one well known TV evangelist sinned, Christian Television got a bad rap from the public.  Christians themselves were quick to judge, criticize and point fingers at the sin instead of praying for the situation.  A Bible teacher told us that immature Christians do not realize that when you harshly judge another for their sin, you are judged in the same manner.  The mature Christians help restore those who have fallen to get them back on their feet again after they repent and back again into the calling God has on their lives.

Inspiration: I have met two Christian women who have used their God given beauty as a gift from the Lord.  In their younger years,  these women competed in beauty pageants.   One went on to become a church leader’s wife and the other does Bible teaching in her church.  People that have been given good looks, from TV standards, need to see it a gift from the Lord for more influence on people so that they can bring the Lord great glory and get more souls saved.  These people have to deepen their prayer life with Jesus all the time to stay away from the lusts, snares and fame of the world!

Inspiration: The president of an organization did a Bible study on "Who we are in Christ."  This president learned through his study that Christians are:  children of God,  redeemed,  saved, sanctified, justified, forgiven, loved and blessed tremendously.  The blessings include, health, the ability to gain Godly wealth for His purposes and most importantly, eternal life.   Healing, deliverance, protection, provision are all promises in the Word of God as a child of God when we believe by faith and waiver not on God’s promises.   He says we need to meditate on these scriptures to understand more of God’s spiritual blessings and stand in faith believing regardless the circumstanances.

Inspiration: A Bible teacher addressed a group of Christians by asking: "How many of you are hot and on-fire for God?"    None of the audience put their hand up.  He then asked them: "How many of you are cold?"  None of them put up their hand.  The teacher went on to read this Bible scripture of how God judges lukewarm Christians, and all were convicted of their lukewarm state and encouraged to get on-fire for Jesus!

Inspiration: A man fasted for 24 hours for the first time in his life and immediately sensed he had more spiritual strength from Jesus to stop letting his body lust after things.  He committed all his body, soul (which is the mind, emotions and will) to the Lord Jesus surrendering all to God, and relies on Holy Spirit’s help to teach him to stay away from the lusts of the world and set his affections on the things above!  Staying in the Word of God each day and spending lots of time in Worship and prayer gives this man a greater understanding of God’s grace which includes God’s power to say no to sin!

Inspiration: Some close friends made a list of attitudes to work on before they got married. They had excellent marriage counseling and that helped them control the anger, frustration and irritations that pop up in marriage.  They made a point of never going to bed at night angry.  Their marriage is so strong now that people come to them for marriage counseling.  They have been married over 20 years and their marriage as just as close as day 1!

Inspiration: I took a course on the roots of anger.  The speaker explained that so much of anger is developed in the childhood years through various circumstances.  The course taught me that many people carry hurts for years and when these hurts flair up, they get so angry that they cannot control their anger nor their tongue.  They can healed by Jesus if they choose to forgive in Jesus’ name, all who have ever hurt them.

Inspiration: As Bible College students, we were taught to quote chapter and verse when we teach others as the Holy Spirit speaks to people through the Bible.  By teaching this way, God’s Word would go forth with power and accomplish great things.  It also helps to keep what people pray in line with the Word of God as people learn to study the scriptures every day to know God’s will!

Inspiration: We would often go out two by two into the streets and neighborhoods to share Jesus.  Most of the time we shared with people in their homes.  One afternoon I came across about 10 tough guys sitting down together.  Fear and intimidation tried to get me to walk away and be quiet.  However I took courage and shared my testimony before them all.  I was amazed to find they listened closely and let me pray for them.  Thanks be to Holy Spirit and Jesus to give boldness and eliminate fear!

Inspiration: A worship leader and his wife were unable to have children.  A friend of theirs felt led by the Lord to build a wooden crib for a baby, asking the Lord to fill the crib for this barren couple.  Intellectually, it seemed strange to give the gift of a crib at a time when the couple was unable to have a baby as well as being devastated by the news of yet another miscarriage.  However God honored their faith and in time, the wife became pregnant and had a baby so that this "Faith Crib" was filled with the new baby.  They then were blessed by God with another child!

Jesus The Christ Is LordInspiration: A president of a ministry was faithful to God for over 60 years.  He and his wife obeyed God in all that He told them to do and their ministry has affected the world.  He has written many books to give people more insight into the Bible.  Some of his books have been translated into many languages to help people move in the power of Holy Spirit.  Many people have received miracles from God through their ministry.  This couple looked to God for their source of income.

Inspiration: Some people think they are not special to God because of what they have done or what someone had said about them.  When reading this scripture, I realize that what really is important is what God thinks about us.  I was able to share with Christians that they are a precious jewel in God’s hand and He delights in them.  God has no favorites as He loves all equally unconditionally as we see that we are His children and He wants to look after every issue in our life if we let Him and surrender all to Him!

Inspiration: Two close friends who are now married, wrote their prayer requests in their journals in their single years.  They would pray for their future and write down their thoughts.  When God brought them together in marriage, they learned what was in each other’s journals.  As they looked at the dates of the entries, they were blessed to see how their prayers had been answered.  It was so great they wrote down the dates to match up a prayer request in one journal was answered in the other prayer journal!  This couple has been married for decades now and truly treat each other with great respect!

Inspiration: One lady got upset when someone told her that Jesus is the only access to eternal life.   She thought her good works would be enough to get her into heaven.  When challenged to accept Jesus into her life, she did so, and started Bible studies in her home.  People that study the Bible and seek the truth with all their heart, realize that it is only by Jesus (who forgives us when we repent and turn to Him) that one can enter a holy heaven where there is no sin.

Inspiration: Many people struggle with parts of the Bible because they let human reasoning take over instead of Godly faith.  These people have never understood what real prophecy is and how God speaks.  If they would seek God with all their hearts and ask God to talk to them, they would quickly discover the Bible is true and that God wants to use them to pray for miracles.  John 10 says God’s people are to hear the Great Shepherd leading and follow Him  This takes hours of prayer not a 5 minute prayer!

Inspiration:  A couple was asked by God to start a Christian TV station which was a huge step of faith.  They needed all the donations to arrive by the end of the month or else the deal would be cancelled.  During the last week hardly any money came in.   On the last day of the month they were $35,000 short.  That same afternoon, a man came in with a check for exactly $35,000 saying he was on his way to buy a boat but the Lord told him to donate the money instead.  They rushed to the bank and deposited the check just as the bank was closing.  This started the first Christian TV station and many more have been started since then. This was decades ago and this man and his family have brought great glory to God for his obedience!

Inspiration: A woman of great faith said you have to constantly examine your heart.  She called it a ‘Heart Check Up’ to make sure you are on the right path and doing God’s will.  This checkup was to look for things such as envy, jealousy, pride, selfishness, and wrong motives and to have God search your heart and try you.  I have found that constant prayer and Bible reading is the only way to keep on the right path that God has for us.  There are so many lusts of the world that try to pull us into sin.  However listening and obeying God will keep our faith strong and keep us from sins that cause damage not only to us but all those that know us.  I need to listen more to Holy Spirit who is trying to help us every hour of every day!

Inspiration: A president prays for wisdom and knowledge from God constantly.  He tries his best to obey God in everything God asks Him to do. God has blessed his home tremendously even though it is a small home (compared to what he can afford).  He brings great glory to God and helps so many others by Holy Spirits word and wisdom and word of knowledge the operate in His ministry!

Inspiration: I attended church for many years before I found out what spiritual warfare was in the Holy Bible.  I was leading one meeting in a small church room when a church leader joined us.  As I spoke about each event, everyone seemed confused and asked me to repeat things several times.  I looked at the church leader as if to say: ‘Why am I always repeating myself?’ and the reply was, ‘There is confusion in this room and you did not pray over it,  did you?’  This church leader showed me I needed to bind the enemy in prayer.

Inspiration: A church leader talked much about the Holiness of God and to revere God with holy fear.  I had never been taught on the holiness of God but only the love of God, so at first I thought he was out of balance with too much talk of holiness.  Later, I discovered that I was the one who was wrong and I needed to worship the Lord with much more reverence.  This also produced a need for holiness in my life.  When I started to pursue the holiness of God I seemed to fail every time!  It was then I learned that we need Holy Spirit’s help each hour of every day to say "NO MY THOUGHT. I DISMISS THAT  IN JESUS NAME NOW" to every unholy and ungodly thought the devil tempts us with!

Inspiration: An elderly lady in our church always tithed even though she had hardly any money.  She obeyed this scripture and was praying for a better car.  Recently she told me that someone had sent her the money to buy a brand new car!  This lady is 86 years old now and is one of the biggest prayer warriors and intercessors I have ever met!

Inspiration: On a mission trip, we used a 30 year old open fishing boat to preach the gospel (that had 2 outboard engines that looked even older than the boat).  In one place, when our boat was tied up at the dock, someone removed the drain plug in our boat without replacing it properly, which caused the boat eventually to sink under ten feet of water.  We did not find out about this until later.  Being far away from phones and any cars or roads, there was no other solution but to pray that God would do a miracle.  It took over three hours to pull the boat to the surface.  We laid hands on the waterlogged engines and they started, GLORY TO GOD.  Any mechanic would say God did a miracle since the carburetor was cleaned out of water and filled with air again to make the spark to start the engines!  We praised God all the way home.

Inspiration: Many people tell me they don’t get anything out of going to their church.  When they hear of sin in church leadership, it confirms in their mind that they made a good choice to stop going.  Their busy lives left only one hour for God per week in church and now they have found an excuse not to go, nor try another church.  Many of these people have not committed their lives to Jesus.  Becoming a disciple of Jesus is not on the top of their priority list.  However if they would remember the first commandment to love God with all their hearts they would want to attend church to serve and worship God, to hear His Word and to grow in faith.   They also need to attend a church that is growing spiritually so they learn about healing and learn to pray for the sick by the power of Holy Spirit in Jesus’ powerful name!

Inspiration:  Over the centuries, some church leaders have taken a "vow of poverty" to help correct impending greed.  Greediness is not from God, however poverty is not from God either.  One church leader spoke at a business meeting and said:  "Do you possess money or does money possess you?"  This scripture points out that God does want us to prosper and be healthy as we let God control our money.  However the essential part of the scripture is .."as thy soul prospers.."  God can bless as with health and prosperity to the degree we have the Word of God prospering in our souls and making our minds pure.  We need to clearly see there is a huge difference between God’s Holy unselfish version of prosperity and the world’s greedy lustful version of prosperity!

Inspiration: A salesman heard that the borrower is the servant to the lender, and started to do a Bible study on finances to see if it is God’s will to be in debt.  He also studied the effect of debt on marriage and found it produced a lot of stress, since men and women view debt in different ways.  This man has chosen to live with no debt as he wants to be a servant to the Lord and not be entangled in the ways of the world.  This has given him the freedom to give generously to the Lord as the prompting of Holy Spirit!

Inspiration: A young woman growing up with an alcoholic father lived in great fear of her father’s behavior.  She told herself she would never marry a man that drinks.  So she married a man that did not drink alcohol however still feared her that her husband would become an alcoholic one day and be like her father. Over the years, this constant fear formed a distorted view of her husband causing her to nag at him.  She kept nagging him so much that he eventually had some alcohol to escape the stress from her fears.  Her continual nagging eventually drove him to became an alcoholic.   What she feared eventually came true since she let fear rule in her life instead of faith and trust in Jesus!

Inspiration: A president of an organization communicates his vision to people so that those who believe in it will help bring it into existence.  Most successful businesses have a 5, 10 and 20 year vision.  This is a example of natural faith since the business is trusting to meet certain goals at certain points in time.   Supernatural faith is God speaking words "Let there be light" and light was created.  A Bible teacher explained that the words you speak and believe in, will shape the world you live in.  As you learn God’s vision for your life you will speak words in life into your family and ministry to accomplish God’s vision.  With Holy Spirit’s help you can pray with leaders and help ministries develop their visions as they listen to Jesus and have everything they do backed up by the Holy Scriptures in the Bible.

Inspiration: A young boy, raised by a single mother with a tiny income, asked God, during a church service, for a financial miracle since it was his birthday.  At the end of the service, the church leadership decided to give the boy some money not knowing it was his birthday nor knowing the prayer he made.  The boy knew it was a miracle since he did not tell anyone what he asked for.

Inspiration: The early disciples in the Book of Acts had such a passion and love for the Lord that they were willing to sacrifice their lives for Jesus.  They were so full of God’s love that in Acts 5:40-42, after they were beaten, they rejoiced in that they were worthy to suffer shame for the name of Jesus.  They knew how much Jesus loves them and showed Jesus love to all so that future generations would know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior!

Inspiration: A factory worker was terribly upset with the news of his brother having marriage trouble.  He didn’t know how to act or what to say in this situation for his brother was not following the Lord, nor would he heed any Christian advice.  He felt this scripture say to him that he was to love his brother to help him through this trial!
