Inspiration: Many people expect financial or healing miracles to happen immediately and although that does happen, it does not happen to all. This scripture points out that through life one’s faith matures. Inspiration: One year I joined a group of Bible College students to feed the poor on Christmas Day. It was the first time I had ever been away from my family at Christmas. My eyes were opened to feel the pain of those who do not have a family. All of us were blessed tremendously to see the faces of the poor light up as we served them food and ate dinner with them.

Inspiration: One church member gave anonymously for years. Later in life, he found himself handing money directly to people for missions (instead of using an offering envelope) so that the church member receiving the gift would know that it was from him. He was later convicted by God that his motives in giving were not totally pure since he wanted some recognition for his mission givings.

Inspiration: A businessman was tested for awhile to see if he would trust in his riches or use his riches for advancing God’s Kingdom. During prayer, this businessman felt God speak to him to buy a motel and invite evangelists to use it free of charge if they would pass out Christian tracts to the surrounding area so that all people in the vicinity would hear about Jesus . Several years later, when he felt the evangelistic work was done, he was approached by a land developer, who offered this businessman 20 times as much as he originally paid for the motel and property. This man was able to give millions of dollars to God’s work.

Inspiration: In the 1980’s I heard a man prophesy about hand held computers and that God was saying His children were not listening to Him for inventions. It never occurred to me that good inventions were from God and, at that time, I didn’t know what a hand held computer was, since personal computers the size of desk tops were just coming out. Twenty years later, hand held computers are now called palm tops and are getting more powerful all the time. I now realize that God wants to give inventions to people that will use the invention and the income from it to advance His Kingdom.

Inspiration: Two men were sailing on the lake and one of the men unknowingly lost his car keys in the water. When they got to shore they were not able to drive home since they knew the keys were at the bottom of the lake somewhere. They decided to pray and ask the Lord to lead them to the keys. They set sail again and in a certain location, they felt led to look down for the keys. One of them dove down and found the keys way down underneath the water on a big rock.

Inspiration: Two close friends are a blessing to marriages for sharing their wisdom. In their journals, they write about the love and blessings of the Lord. Inspiration: I have been on missions in different countries, and found in some parts of the world, people expect and receive miracles from Jesus readily because they have no unbelief in their hearts. On the other hand, in some of the rich and well educated countries, many people have a hard time believing in miracles, and even believing all the Bible is true. I just read an account of a lady that had cancer on her face and when she had hands laid on her for prayer she believed she received at the time they prayed for her. She kept believing and twenty days later, the cancer fell off her face. The doctors were amazed.

Inspiration: Some nations were founded on Christian principles, but over the decades, leaders and luke-warm Christians have set their own standard of righteousness causing people to fall away from God. Pray for the churches that they would become like the church in the first century preaching faith from God in the Holy Scriptures.” This teacher also said that Christians need to repent of their sins and their forefather’s sins and dedicate their nation to God.

Inspiration: A friend, who was the president of a corporation, attended church all his life. One day, one of his employees called him a hypocrite, saying he acted in an unchristian manner. My friend was shaken up by this accusation and started searching in the Bible and discovered that he had never let Jesus take control of his life. Through his study he learned to die to his own ways and accept Jesus’ plan for his life. As his old life died, his new life with Jesus sprung up with new joy and purpose. My friend is now a leader for Christ in his community sharing his testimony everywhere and helping to set people’s faith on fire.

Inspiration: A church overseer who had founded many churches came to speak at our church. When we came to talk with him after the service, he asked us to pray for him because he said, he needed our prayers. I was blessed by his humility asking for our prayers. Inspiration: A missionary in the Philippines became very sick. In America, a lady was awakened by the Lord asking her to pray in the spirit for this missionary although she had no knowledge of why she was praying for him. He was healed of his disease and when he came back to America to share how he was healed, the lady that had prayed for him asked him the exact time and date of his pain. As he shared with her, she told him that was the exact time the Lord had asked her to pray for him.

Inspiration: One of the natives shared an amazing miracle while we were on a missionary trip. This native had faith that the hurricane winds would not destroy his tin-roofed house. This hurricane was one of the worst in Central America and while other houses were being blown over in the storm, people came to his house which stayed strong and was not damaged throughout the entire hurricane.

Inspiration: A student had a toothache and thought that he would have to go to a dentist. This person prayed and asked God for wisdom and healing for the painful toothache. In prayer, this person was shown that it was sinus pressure that was causing the toothache and by clearing (blowing) his nose, the toothache would go away. Sure enough, about 20 minutes later, after clearing his nose, the toothache was gone.

Inspiration: A businessman prayed this scripture to understand the calling of God on his life. God kept confirming His direction to this individual so that he had perfect peace in what God’s plan of his life should be. Inspiration: I was at a wedding when the groom was close to 50 years old and his bride was close to 40 even though neither of them had been married before. The bride had bought a wedding dress years before, in faith that God would send her a husband. Inspiration: A college boy’s mind snapped while he was streaking nude across the campus. A church leader was led by the Lord to pray all night for him since the boy had gone into a catatonic state. Inspiration: A salesman struggled with alcohol. His career was so important to him that he often had to go out with his colleagues for a drink. Inspiration: I was brought up to go to church weekly but the only time I praised God was during that one hour service. Through this miracle the jailer and all his household became Christians.

Inspiration: A friend, who was raised to be a Hindu priest, left his roots and moved to a different country where he and his whole family became Christians. Later, God called him to another country and gave him the job of being an accountant which was a miracle since he did not know the accounting laws of the land. God gave him supernatural knowledge to do this job. His wife would pray all night for him at times. The executives of this company all saw the grace of God in his life and he spoke a prophecy in the board room that came to pass. About 5 years later, God called him to go to a Bible College in another country.

Inspiration: Growing up, my parents taught me that no one likes a bragger. Inspiration: I always prayed before meals at home but at work I found myself sometimes embarrassed to pray in front of others since the people at my table never prayed. Inspiration: A rich man was selling multi-million dollar computers when God called him to go to Bible school. This person said to God: “Whatever you want me to do, I will do even if it means cleaning toilets.” The first day of Bible School, the director said there were no janitors at this school as they liked the students to volunteer for these services in order to build humility and servanthood in them. This man was reminded of his prayer to God and volunteered to clean the washrooms to help burn the pride out of his life.

Inspiration: In High School, a young man disobeyed his parents’ good teaching and hung around an evil crowd. Later he was framed for a murder and went to jail with a life sentence. One day a young boy came to the prison fence and shared Jesus with him. Later the boy became a leader on his High School student’s counsel and organized with the Principal for this prisoner to come and speak to the whole study body of the dangers of having evil friends. Overtime this prisoner gave his heart to Jesus He was released from prison years later, and has dedicated his life to preach Jesus to teenagers and to warn them of the dangers of sin.

Inspiration: A church leader who has attended church services in many countries discovered many people including himself, not being thankful enough to God. The presumption, ‘I have a right to live on this planet’ seems to prevail over the attitude that each day is a gift from God. He now wants to bless God and to be thankful for each day he is able to live on this planet. He says he needs to ponder on God’s goodness and worship Him more.

Inspiration: The Bible tells us that in the last days, all creation will sing to Jesus with a loud voice and bless Him and worship Him. Revelation chapters 4 and 5 gives us a picture of this, as Revelations 5:9 says that Jesus has redeemed us to God by His blood.

Inspiration: A businessman read the Bible for many years, but it was when he started studying it, meditating on certain sentences for a while and placing himself in the scenes in the Bible, that his faith really started to grow. God was able to speak clearly to this person through the Bible since he was studying and listening to the Holy Spirit for understanding of the Holy Scriptures.

The Holy Spirit also fell on the gentiles (non Jews) in Acts, Chapter 10, and the Kingdom of God was received by many.

Inspiration: In Mexico, a church leader and his ministry team have reported God raising people from the dead. One occurrence was when a small boy fell into a hole and cracked his skull open so that some of his brains fell out. The little boy was dead for hours. The church leader prayed for him, and God raised him from the dead.

Inspiration: There was a man in the Bible called King Saul, and although he was true to God at first, later he disobeyed God. He was jealous of David, and started planning to kill him since he didn’t want David to be King. (Samuel 28:6) When the Philistines later attacked Israel, Saul prayed to the Lord for help but the Lord did not answer him.
